Alison Imhoff is a proud mom, wife, and lifelong resident of Harford County's District B. Deeply connected to the place she has always called home, Alison combines her professional experience in social work with a lifelong dedication to community service and advocacy.
Raised on the values of integrity, fairness, and hard work, Alison believes that leadership begins with listening and ends with results. Every decision she makes is guided by one simple principle: doing what is best for District B and the families who call it home. She is committed to ensuring that Harford County remains a place where families can grow, businesses can thrive, and every voice is heard, while actively supporting community service initiatives that strengthen the fabric of her community.

Alison earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, with dual concentrations in Management & Community Organizing and Clinical Therapy with Families and Children. Through her studies, Alison came to value the impact of compassion, connection, and leadership rooted in community service.
Over the course of her career, Alison has worked in both public and non-public school systems, helping students and families navigate challenges with empathy and understanding. She also led several teams that provided services for survivors of violence, ensuring that every person had access to the care and resources they deserved.
These experiences taught Alison the importance of teamwork, clear communication, and results-driven advocacy. The same values she now brings to representing District B on the Harford County Council.

Alison dedicated over five years as Chair of the Harford County Commission for Women, leading initiatives that promoted empowerment, equality, and leadership opportunities for women and girls across the county. Her commitment to community service extends across multiple boards and committees, including: The ARC of Northern Chesapeake’s Standing Committee, the Harford County Public Schools Family Life Advisory Committee, and the Harford County Police Accountability Board, where she served as a founding member. Through these roles, Alison has worked to make District B and all of Harford County safer, stronger, and more inclusive.

Alison and her husband are raising their daughters on their generational family farm, which has been a part of Harford County for more than a century. In 2024, the farm was officially recognized as one of Harford County’s Legacy Farms, honoring its 100 years of continuous operation and contribution to the county’s agricultural heritage. This recognition aligns with the values of community service that the Harford County Council promotes in District B. To Alison, the farm represents more than land; it symbolizes family, perseverance, and the lasting connection between generations of Harford Countians.

Alison was raised to believe that integrity, fairness, and hard work are the foundation of effective leadership. She carries those lessons forward every day as she represents District B on the Harford County Council.
She is deeply honored to serve the same community that helped shape who she is and remains dedicated to ensuring that District B continues to be a place where families can grow, businesses can thrive, and every resident feels heard and valued through her commitment to community service.
